The French certificates, DELF and DALF

The DELF and DALF are official certificates issued by the French ministry of education, to certify French skills of foreign candidates.
The DELF and DALF comprise 6 independent certificates which correspond to the six levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages. You will find more information on the CIEP website, including the examination centres and procedures.
The DELF
The DELF covers 4 modules, A1, A2, B1, B2
NoteThe DELF and DALF certificates have permanent validity, however the TEF and TCF remain valid for 2 years only.
If you have a DELF B2 level certificate, you may be exempt from the linguistic Integration package.
These units correspond to a level of 500 to 600 hours of study.
The DALF
The DALF certifies the ability to follow lessons at a French or French-speaking university. It comprises 2 levels, C1 and C2.
 
Candidates with the complete DALF certificates are not required to take the language tests for French schools and universities, nor are they required to take the linguistic and methodology integration packagages.
