Foreign universities

More than 60 Engineering Institutes (grandes écoles d’ingénieurs) and university-based engineering programs—including some of the most renowned—have joined together to form “n+i.”

Members pool their resources for: Promotion, Recruitment, Selection, Orientation, Assistance, Internships, Training….without restricting the freedom of each institution to set its own admission requirements or engage in interuniversity cooperation.

“n+i” was designed to simplify the application and admission process for international students seeking to study engineering in France—and to make information on international training opportunities available to French students.

We help students identify appropriate programs and put them in touch with schools, companies, and regional authorities that are looking for qualified engineers—as students, interns, trainees, or employees.

Networks allow their members to pool efforts and attain efficiencies of scale.

One of those efficiencies is the ability to undertake initiatives and create structures that would not be possible for one institution acting alone.

Examples include Web-based recruiting, online applications, distance-education programs to prepare students for study in France, and marketing of graduate programs.

Foreign universities and other organizations are encouraged to join the "n+i" network.

The advantages of partnering with "n+i"

In "n+i," foreign universities and other organizations find the following benefits and advantages:

  • Password-protected access to online applications submitted by French student engineers with at least 4 years of postsecondary education who are seeking an education or an internship abroad. All applications in the database are reviewed and vetted by “n+i.”
  • Access to the “n+i” Web site, and a direct link to their own site from the Partners page.
  • Access to the "news" areas of the site.
  • Invitations to “n+i” Forums.
  • Contacts with French companies operating in their country.
  • An excellent channel of communication with French grandes écoles and their research units.
  • Opportunities to explore interuniversity agreements for exchange of faculty members and students (double or joint degree agreements).
  • A means of locating internships in France for their students.
  • Presentation of their institution in the "Members" pages of the “n+i” site.
