« n+i » Network offers a tailored programme of gradual and comfortable adjustment to the French academic environment to students whose initial knowledge of French is insufficient for academic work, but who are energized by the prospect of a cultural experience in France.

Coming to France and learning French do not mean that you will never use English. English is the language of universal communication, and you can expect to be able to use it at a rather high level.

French is spoken by almost 300 million people in 50 countries on 5 continents. Thus, the knowledge of French opens up new opportunities for internationally oriented engineers. By being able to speak French you will also get more out of your time in France, including your internship.

Studying in French offers four major advantages:
  • International students studying in French may work toward the same national engineering degree as French students, the diplôme d’ingénieur which is recognized as a Master’s Degree under international regulations (Bologna agreements).
  • One of these master’s degrees will help to get a work permit (green card) if a company offers a job in France. Graduates enjoy career prospects similar French engineers abroad but also in France.
  • International students studying in French enjoy the same rights and privileges as French students. They enjoy the same forms of financial assistance, notably low rates of tuition.
  • International students studying in French have much more opportunities to mix with French students. The result is a true cultural exchange on a basis of equality: the same courses, the same degrees, the same rights, and the same responsibilities.
