The master’s degrees delivered by the postgraduate engineering schools of “n+i” network are fully recognized on the international scale of the Bologna Process.
The international agreement generally called « Bologna process » or L, M, D (to signify levels of Licence (Bachelor), Master, Doctorate (PhD)) is signed by 45 countries in the world and recognized by many other countries).
It is based on 3 big objectives :
1. To compare competences and a level of knowledge by using 3 levels:
· Licence (Bachelor),
· Master,
· Doctorate (PhD),
It is in fact impossible to compare directly degrees (because so different) or an number of years (depending from the content of the curriculum). So each degree, in each country, corresponds to a level of qualification a level of competence: L, M or D.
2. To help the mobility of students,
3. To develop a common system of evaluation ECTS (European Credit Transfert System) for any training activity (course, practical work, laboratories, project, placements, ...) in order to help the comparison of training from one country to another.
