Degrees in French language DELF and DALF

The DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) and DALF (Diplôme approfondi de langue française) comprise six official degrees as defined by the European framework scale. Candidates may present and obtain units in separate sittings in the country or countries of their choice. More information on the CIEP website.
The DELF
The DELF is an accreditation of French language ability (written, speaking and listening) organised into 4 modules A1, A2, B1, B2.
Holders of the DELF B2 are exempted of the package for linguistic integration.
These units correspond to 500 to 600 hours of teaching.
The DALF
This is an advanced certificate of language proficiency and is recognised as fulfilling French language requirements for university entrance in France and French-speaking countries. It is organised into 2 modules C1 and C2.
As mentioned in the law of December 21st 1988, holders of the DALF diploma are dispensed from passing language tests for entry to French universities.
Note : The degrees (DELF et DALF) are delivered for ever whereas tests results (TEF, TCF) are valid just for a 2-year period.
