Financing your education and Scholarships

An automatic support from France

The French Government, in funding directly the higher education, allows the French and Foreign Students to reduce over 50 % of the total costs of their studies in France (academic and living expenses (special residences and restaurants)).

Funding and Scholarships

How to pay the remaining costs?

There are several possibilities:

  • Personal funding (family relatives) or through a loan in a bank, because education is a good investment for the future,
  • Scholarships from Foreign governments (BGE) cities or provinces (bilateral agreements),
  • Scholarships from the French government (BGF) (Eiffel, Embassies,..), over 30 in 2010,
  • Scholarships from the European Union (Erasmus, Leonardo, etc.),
  • Scholarships from French regional authorities (cities, Regions, etc..), over 30 in 2010,
  • Scholarships or sponsoring from companies, (BEnt),
  • Scholarships from the “n+i” Network, Bni (over 20 in 2010),
  • Part time job during your studies.

Important :

Looking for scholarships is time consuming and this is why to be a candidate to scholarships you must:

a.    validate your file in session 1 and

b.    ask to be interviewed.

Scholarships are given on a merit basis and so « n+i » cannot be responsible if a student has no grant.
