National Master’s degree programmes are aimed at engineering students and young engineers with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent in the opinion of "n+i").
The Master’s degree programme requires 120 ECTS credits after a Bachelor’s degree, in other words two years, which we call M1 for the first year and M2 for the second year.
The year M1 is based on two semesters (M1a and M1b) as well as the year M2 (M2a and M2b).
Students and young engineers can choose between two different programmes for the Master’s degree course:
· The "n+" Master’s degree also presented as a Master’s degree with honours: studies take place in an engineering Grande Ecole to obtain this prestigious engineering degree the minimum training period is two years after a Bachelor’s degree.
· The "i" Master degree : A more specialised and flexible course in a scientific or technological field. Validation of experience in the country of origin can reduce the length of training in France (18 months or 13 months instead of 24).
·
Important Note: When you apply on line you may mention your preference for a degree in particular but engineering schools will give you their selection fitting the best with your background. At the end, you will choose the best for you among all the offers from schools.
These complementary Master’s degrees, "n" and "i", both enable students to enrol for a doctorate (see conditions). With the "n+i" Network and Campus Engineering you will be able to find the most suitable laboratory for your doctorate research work.
To encourage mobility of students, international recognition of diplomas (the so-called Bologna agreements, signed by more than 46 countries throughout the world and recognized by many others), involves a comparison of skills and knowledge at three levels: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, Doctorate. (see page B, M, D)
Important: Correspondence between local credits (in other words acquired in your university if different from ECTS) and ECTS credits, and their relevance to the intended training course, is decided solely by "n+i" and its members.
To help foreign students integrate successfully and put them in the best possible situation to succeed in their studies, we offer a "Success" programme in the form of "cultural, linguistic and methodological integration" packages.
