The fast growing pharmerging markets will worth 50% of the global pharmaceutical market in 2020, with an annual growth of 15% a year.
This involves that most pharmaceutical companies will have to increase their production and supply chain, in agreement with the international regulations, and to develop new dosage forms, according to the best world standards. The master Adpharming was created to satisfy the growing needs of this dynamic sector.
ADPHARMING course offers challenging opportunities for young students interested in the pharmaceutical industry. It has the ambition to train them and produce experts and skilled managers for the pharmaceutical industry. Today, making the critical decision needs a global high-level training including science, technology, quality, management, regulatory knowledge, sustainability and know-how in the pharmaceutical field. UE 1 : Scientific and technical, fundamentals en 124.00 11.00

This course includes the fundamental sciences for pharmacy (chemistry, analytical methods, biochemistry), thermodynamics, transfer phenomena (heat and mass transfer), fluid mechanics, and the bases of pharmaceutical engineering (physical chemistry of interfaces and systems, characterization of divided solids, population balance, ideal reactors...)

UE 2 : Socio-technologies and management en 98.00 7.00

It includes cross culture communication and engineering ethics, strategy of companies, economical management of companies, introduction to the world pharmaceutical industry, technology watch, patents, information systems...). Visit of french or international companies (Airbus, Pierre Fabre,...)

UE 3 : Generic methods for engineering, fundamentals en 84.00 6.00

- Programming (A short course for programming with Matlab and for using Excel),
- Numerical Resolutions of Equations - Modelling (an introduction to the numerical resolution of a given set of equations : one implicit equation, algebrical systems (linear and nonlinear), differential systems.)
- Applied Statistics (Basic concepts and practical tools for analyzing data).
- Regression (Basics methods for linear and nonlinear regressions). - - Optimization (Resolution of optimization problems in engineering : linear and nonlinear problems with constraints or not.)

Bibliographic research, unitary operation, innovation. Collaborative research. What to take into account to develop a new vaccine (as example), redaction of a mini-thesis paper, public presentation.

UE 16 : Training for the corporate world courses (master thesis) en INTERNSHIP 30.00

The topics can be very different depending on the professional project of the student : development of a new dosage form, implementation of a quality system, technological transfer from one site to another located in another country, scaling-up of a new pharmaceutical process, ... A visit of the trainee is organized during this period by his/her tutor from Ecole des Mines. A mini thesis is prepared, followed by a public presentation (confidentiality possible is case of demand from the industrial company.) Note: possibility of training at distance for the french language during the internship. A certification in french language will be obtained by the student at the end of the master.
