Description M1
The particularity of this master is to be double major in Computer
Science and Applied Maths.
The competences developped in this context are to be able to model
problems using
mathematical tools but also developping efficient and adapted software
solutions
The student whose French skills need improvement spend the first semester
in another Computer Science and Applied Math school in order to gain the
language competence, and basic technical vocabulary knowledge for
computer science
and applied math. They come to the ENSEEIHT school after the Christmas
break and
follow the second semester, registering either for dominant major
either in computer science and applied maths.
Teaching is based on coursework in advanced mathematics in order to approach the problems of applied mathematics as well as to instill a solid foundation in analysis and reasoning which are the bases of modern, intelligent computer science.
All advanced computer techniques are introduced from the first year, including software engineering, communication systems and networks, artificial intelligence, and production. This method of teaching trains a general engineer who is later capable of pursuing a career in research, analysis, development, or exploitation.
During the first year of Master degree (M1) two choices are available : major in Computer Science or Major in Applied Maths.
