Description M1
This is a two-year full-time programme preparing for a Master of Science degree in one of the four areas:
- Mechanics, materials, structures and processing technology
- Fluids and energy systems
- Design and production engineering, decision and risk management
- Biomedical engineering
The 1st year is completely taught in English and it is divided into two semesters:
- 1st semester: classes in advanced engineering topics, project management, intensive French language and culture.
- 2nd semester: classes related to the specialization area, research project, 13 weeks internship in industry.
Admission requirements:
- Bachelor degree in science or engineering
- TOEFL iBT of 81/120 (or equivalent) or IELTS 6.0
The second year is entirely dedicated to the specialization in one of the four areas and can be taught in English or in French, depending on the chosen major.
Holders of a Bachelor degree + 1year of master can apply directly to the 2nd year. For further details please check the M2 programmes on our website.

Description M2
This is the 2nd year of a two-year full-time programme leading to the award of a Master of Science degree in one of the four areas:
- Mechanics, materials, structures and processing technology
- Fluids and energy systems
- Design and production engineering, decision and risk management
- Biomedical engineering
The programme can be taught in French or in English, depending on the chosen major. For each option the teaching language is specified in the course list. The academic year is divided into two semesters (one of coursework and one dedicated to the master’s thesis which can be carried out in a research laboratory or in industry).
Admission requirements:
- Bachelor degree in science or engineering + 1st year of a master’s programme (or equivalent).
- TOEFL iBT of 81/120 (or equivalent) or IELTS 6.0 for programmes taught in English
- Good level of French language (one of the following tests is recommended: TFI, TEF or TCF) for programmes taught in French
