ESIEE Paris
ESIEE Paris provides engineering education in electronics, computer science, telecommunications, and control systems and technology management. It comprises two main programs:
 
- ESIEE Engineering
- ESIEE Management
 
and continuing education, doctoral, and research programs.
 
ESIEE Paris is founding member  of “University Paris-Est”, a scientific organisation  dedicated to research and master and doctoral studies.

Campus

 15 km from Paris: the Cité Descartes

ESIEE Paris is situated in the "Cité Descartes". With more then ten Higher Education Institutions, and 15,000 students, the Cité Descartes forms the largest university complex in the eastern of Parisarea. Students benefit from a number of advantages that such an American-style campus can provide including access to courses at neighboring institutions, as well as to sports and restaurant facilities.

ESIEE is 15 km from Paris and  approximately 20 minutes from the centre of Paris by RER (suburban train).

ESIEE Paris: A RENOWNED INSTITUTION
 
Founded in 1904, ESIEE Paris offers a Masters degree in Engineering. It is recognized by the French government’s Engineering Education Commission (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur) and is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles Françaises.
ESIEE Paris opens the door to a variety of professional careers in the fields of computer science, electronics, telecommunications, and embedded systems, and in the many sectors which use these technologies, including the automobile and aeronautics industries. Among these careers, three in particular stand out: development engineer, international project engineer, and managing engineer.
 
ESIEE Engineering ranks by the   among the same group of Engineering Schools as: ENSERG/ENSIMAG Grenoble • ENSEEIHT / Toulouse • ISEP  • SUPELEC / Gif, Metz, Rennes.(17th report of « Conseil national des ingénieurs et scientifiques de France» CNISF),

AN INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE
 
The ESIEE curriculum prepares students for their international experiences through foreign language classes (including French as a Foreign Language) taught by native speakers, intercultural training, academic exchange programmes, overseas internships, etc.
 
INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE
 
For the first year of the master the students must do a three-month internship and for the second year a six-month internship in a company under the guidance of the school. An ESIEE internship office helps the students to find an internship in France or abroad.

MICROELECTRONICS FACILITIES
 
ESIEE-Paris advanced on-site facilities in microelectronics (laboratory in microelectronic technology -300m2 of clean rooms) are used within the framework of the teaching activities, and also for business and industry support services such as training, internship projects, and R&D contracts.

AN EDUCATIONAL DYNAMIC BASED ON COLLABORATION WITH BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY
 
Industrialists, businesspeople, and alumni are frequent visitors to ESIEE, giving us the benefit of their expertise by participating in the planning and teaching of the curricula, offering student internships, and recruiting graduates. Registration
ESIEE Paris is member of the N+i network from 2002.
In 2009-2010 ESIEE PARIS has welcomed 16 N+i students and in 2010-2011 18 N+I students.
ESIEE Paris organize the transition semester (PIM) on its campus
CURRICULUM
From the first year of the master all the students will follow specialized courses and optional courses in one of the four Majors offered:
and management and foreign language courses.
 
For the second year they can continue to follow the major courses or choose the “Technology Management” option.
 
Option: Technology Management-Information Systems

For the second year you can choose this option. It give you access to jobs such as project manager, sales engineer, technological marketing, etc.

INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE

For the first year of the master the students must do a three-month internship and for the second year a six-month internship in a industrial or university laboratory under the guidance of a professor of the school. An ESIEE internship office helps the students to find an internship in France or abroad.



MASTER IN ENGINEERING
 
 
Major: “Computer Science”

OBJECTIVES

The computer sciences plays an important role in the economy. Its applications are constantly spreading: telecommunications, transport and manufacturing industries, for example, as well as in decision support systems.

The aim of this major is to train design and development engineers, i.e. professionals capable of designing, developing and maintaining computer applications which form an integral part of products and systems.


TARGET COMPANIES

Target companies are those which use informatics in industry and services companies as well as well informatic engineering companies

- Software architect

This work is generally carried out in teams. The gained experience gives access to jobs such as product manager, quality engineer, or project manager.

 

MASTER IN ENGINEERING
 
 
Major: “Embedded Systems”


OBJECTIVES 

An embedded system forms part of a larger system with which it is interfaced and for which it carries out particular tasks such as control, monitoring, or communication. The aim of this major is to provide training in the design of embedded systems integrating analog and digital electronics, along with associated software, and implementing measurement, data processing, communication, algorithm, and control functions.

TARGET COMPANIES 

All sectors requiring expertise in both electronics and computer science, including medical technology, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and the automobile and aeronautics industries.

TYPICAL JOBS

- System designer/architect
- Real-time engineer
- Consulting engineer

This work is generally carried out in teams. The gained experience gives access to jobs such as product manager, quality engineer, or project manager.





MASTER IN ENGINEERING
 
Major: “Electronic and Microelectronic Systems”

OBJECTIVES 

Modern fabrication techniques make it possible to construct, within a microscopic area, complete electronic systems combining sensors and intelligent processing. As a result, such systems contribute enormously to the added value of any new consumer product. 
With a view to training versatile engineers in electronic systems development, this major provides thorough instruction in microelectronic fabrication techniques as well as in the design of powerful integrated and printed circuits and their use, including in such related areas as data processing, electromagnetic compatibility, and high frequencies. <!--[endif]-->

MASTER IN ENGINEERING
Major: “Telecommunications and Signal Processing ”
 


OBJECTIVES 

To train design and development engineers in the field of telecommunications circuits and systems who have a thorough grounding in signal processing, digital communication, telecommunications networks, and radio communications and hyperfrequency electronics.

EMPLOYMENT SECTORS 

Telecommunications and consumer electronics, including mobile telephone technology, digital television, telecommunications networks, hyperfrequency electronics, and the automotive industry.

TYPICAL JOBS

The training in both analog and digital technologies prepares the student for work as a:
- Designer of circuits and systems for fixed and mobile communications 
- Telecommunications engineer
- Developer of signal processing applications
- Specialist in a particular technology, such as signal processors, hyperfrequecy circuits, etc

This work is generally carried out in teams. With experience, one can move on to such positions as product manager, quality engineer, or project manager.

Tuition
Cost of the Studies
For 2013, study fees are: 2900€ for the first year, 6500€ for the second year.

 ESIEE Paris total academic cost is 9400€ for the full master, excluding the recruitment fees, Cultural and Linguistic and Methological Integration packages.

SPORT FACILITIES
Athletic activities form part of many students’ curricula at ESIEE Paris. Modern facilities include a gymnasium, and a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities is available, led by qualified staff.
Students take part in a number of national and international sporting events.
CLUB AND ASSOCIATIONS
In addition to representing the students, the Student Unions organize social events such as dances, weekend trips, sports outings, etc. Their mission also includes organizing and  providing support for students clubs (ESIEESPACE, robotics, movies, music, sailing, personal computing, open software, etc.).

Managed by students the Junior Enterprise "G3E" will offer you opportunities to work for companies for your studies

ACCOMMODATION
Various types of housing are available in and around the Cité Descartes. Housing facilities for ESIEE students include:

Your student ID gives you access to different university restaurants around ESIEE and to more than 400 university restaurants throughout France.
ESIEE will help you to find housing thanks to the housing department of our school.

HOUSING COST
Renting  in ESIEE Paris Residences

The students dormitory residences are close to ESIEE Paris (5 min on foot or 15 min by public transports). You can live alone in a studio or share an apartment with an other student.:

Example of accommodation in ESIEE Paris Residences
Studio: compound of a main room with a kitchenette (kitchen sink, hot plates, refrigerator, storage furniture) and an independent shower-room (washbasin, shower, wc).
Shared apartment: including 2 single rooms (24,50m² / 30m² each) with, in common, an equipped kitchen, a shower-room (washbasin, shower) and wc.
In ESIEE Paris residences, including the housing benefit the total monthly cost  in 2010-2011 is approximatively between 250€ and 400€ (depending of the availability of the accommodation)
Renting in a private home
You may be able to rent a room in a private home. This is a good way to improve your French, especially at the beginning of your stay, and to discover the French way of life.

ESIEE will help you to find housing thanks to the housing department of our school.

For more than 30 years, ESIEE Paris has been responding to the internationalization of the economy, of communication, and of technology by developing its contacts with engineering schools, universities, and firms throughout the world. 20% of ESIEE Paris students are coming from abroad and 75% of ESIEE-Paris students spend between three months and two years studying abroad.
Around 1100 students supervised by 95 academics are registered at ESIEE Paris.

200 to 250 masters degrees are awarded each year by ESIEE Paris

45 students are studying for a PhD in the ESIEE Paris labs.
ESIEE Paris has signed more than 75 agreements with Universities abroad, in Europe, North and South America, and Asia. Under the umbrella of these agreements ESIEE Paris has developed numerous collaborations: joint research programmes, staff and students exchanges, double degrees, etc.
