Polytech Paris-UPMC is the graduate School of Engineering of the University Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC) and is member of the Polytech network (13 Polytechnic Graduate Schools of Engineering in France).
Polytech Paris-UPMC is a public institution which delivers the "Diplôme d’Ingénieur", the French equivalent to a MSc or an Meng. The diploma delivered by Polytech Paris-UPMC has been accredited by the French "Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs" (French Accreditation Board for Engineering).
The program lasts for five years after Scientific French Baccalauréat (the diploma marking the end of high school). Courses at Polytech Paris-UPMC are structured into separate modules, for each of which ECTS are allocated. An academic year corresponds to 60 ECTS.
Our host institution, the University Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC), is recognized worldwide for the quality of its research and training programs.
Polytech Paris-UPMC trains top-level engineers in close collaboration with industry. It provides a multidisciplinary core curriculum and seven graduate specializations anchored in the most innovative fields of science and technology :
5 specializations with student status :
• Agri-Food Industry
• Earth Sciences
• Electronics and Computer Sciences for Embedded Systems
• Materials Science
• Robotics
2 specializations with apprentice status :
• Electronics and Industrial Data Processing
• Mechanical Engineering
(Specializations with apprentice status are open to foreign students under specific conditions)

Polytech Paris-UPMC is located at the very heart of the "Quartier Latin", the historical academic center of Paris. This is where the first French University was founded in 1200.
Paris, the multicultural capital of France, combines a subtle blend of history, art and culture, participating in the positive experience of an academic stay in France.

Scientific training tailored to the needs of companies:
Thanks to lecturers at the forefront of their fields, the school provides a solid scientific education tailored to the needs and realities of companies. This training strategy works : 90% of our engineers are hired within 6 months of graduation. Both classic training and apprenticeships (coop programs) lead to the Master’s degree in Engineering.
Links with research : 13 partners laboratories:
UPMC is internationally renowned for its research (120 research units associated with major partner institutions : CNRS, INRA, CEA, IRD, IFREMER...; 6600 publications per year ; 700 PhDs awarded every year -200 of which are co-supervised by foreign universities- ; 250 research cooperation agreements).
Partner laboratories support Polytech Paris-UPMC's programs in two ways :
During their last year at Polytech Paris-UPMC, students with a strong motivation and a strong academic records can take additionnal classes to obtain a resaerch Masters of Science Degree. These students become natural candidates for UPMC'S doctoral program (PhD).
