The cost of academic training
The engineering schools in the “n+i” network may encourage their students to take integration courses to help them succeed in their studies in France.
Unless they receive a scholarship, foreign students must pay for all special services which do not concern French students, such as: recruitment and selection fees, personal welcome, transport within France, intensive courses in French, methodology and culture, personal help from a tutor (help with lodgings, administrative forms) etc.
The cost of the packages shown in the table below are maximum amounts and may be reduced via grants from companies, schools, regional authorities etc. ... (See grants and funding).

(2) The specific programmes run by engineering schools (PIL and PIM) are part of the taught course and are therefore included in the school’s tuition fees. Price depends on the type of course (see PIM).
The choice of type of PIM and exemptions are granted by “n+i” and the relevant school.
In 2011, the average fees paid by students, after deduction of scholarships and grants, was only €4,500 for 2 years.
