Package for Linguistic Integration (PIL)

Enables students, beginners or not, to improve their level of French before the actual course starts.

A summer course
PIC is a summer course (between July and September) of French lessons for non-French natives run by specialized organisations.

During this course, students preferably stay with families to boost their knowledge of the French language and culture.
For reservations (deposit) accommodation during the PIL, we ask students to deposit the average cost of housing before their arrival (see Housing in France).

AdviceBegin French lessons before you come to France to show your motivation to study in France and give yourself every chance of succeeding.
Students should attain the B1 level in French language tests by the end of period 1 (M1a) and B2 level is obligatory to pass the second part, M2 (see special conditions at your school).

Attaining B2 level gives students 2 ECTS credits which are essential to pass the degree course. It is therefore extremely important to take the PIL seriously.

Exemption: students who can prove they have a good level of French (B2 level in the DELF 2 test) are not required to follow the linguistic integration package during the summer.

Only the “n+i” recruitment department is authorised to exempt a student from the linguistic integration package and will do so if proof is submitted within the time limit.

Enrolment will be in September for students who are exempt and the cost of the package will be deducted from their invoice.
